1500hrs - dear is on her way to gathering...
as much as syl controls his torts...he still do not trust that fly...
3 things abt Flies....
- flies are not meant to b trusted...as they eat rubbish for a living...like the saying goes 'u are wat u eat'....
- big or small...no matter wat size they come in...flies are flies....
- if any pt of time u r having 2nd torts abt flies...refer to point 1....
syl is going through thought suppression now... attempting to avoid tinkin abt the fact tt the fly is present in the gathering...as it causes discomfort (flies) and to stop such torts from reaching consciousness...syl realise that suppression is difficult, effortful and this can actually produce a rebound effect....
such an effect occurs bc syl automatically monitors his environment for cues to the thought he has to suppress but this simultaneously makes him aware of the very thing he wants to avoid tinking abt...tio boh???
so such automatic monitoring influencing his conscious is called mental contamination...without appropriate source of emotional distraction...the effort at suppression may fail....hahaha so where's his source of emotional distraction?
